Payment & Security Policy
1. Accepted Payment Methods
At Electromart Uganda, we aim to provide safe, flexible, and convenient payment options for all our customers. We currently accept:
- Cash on Delivery (COD)
- Mobile Money (MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money)
- Bank Transfers
- Debit/Credit Cards (where applicable)
All payments must be completed and verified before order processing and delivery.
2. Payment Confirmation
- Orders are only confirmed after successful payment verification.
- For Mobile Money or bank transfers, customers may be required to provide proof of payment (e.g., transaction message or receipt).
- Electromart Uganda reserves the right to cancel any order if payment is not completed within the specified timeframe.
3. Pricing & Currency
- All prices displayed on our website are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX).
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
4. Security of Transactions
We prioritize your safety and data protection:
- Our website uses secure encryption (SSL) to protect your personal and payment information during transactions
- We do not store sensitive financial details such as card PINs or passwords
- Payments are processed through secure and trusted payment channels
5. Fraud Prevention
To protect both customers and the business:
- We reserve the right to decline or cancel suspicious transactions
- Additional verification may be requested for high-value or unusual orders
- Any fraudulent activity will be reported to relevant authorities
6. Cash on Delivery (COD) Terms
- COD is available in selected locations within Uganda
- Customers are required to pay the full amount upon delivery before receiving the product
- Refusal to pay at delivery without valid reason may result in restriction of future COD orders
7. Refunds & Reversals
- Refunds (if applicable) will be processed via the original payment method
- Mobile money refunds may take 24–72 hours depending on the service provider
- Bank transfers may take 2–5 business days
- Refund eligibility is subject to our Refund & Returns Policy
8. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate payment details
- Ensuring sufficient funds before initiating transactions
- Keeping their payment credentials secure
Electromart Uganda is not liable for losses resulting from customer negligence.
9. Data Privacy & Protection
- All personal data collected during payment is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- We do not sell, rent, or share customer financial data with unauthorized third parties
